APLUS FLASH:
IN THE NEWS

Economic Times Daily/Taiwan: Aplus and SMIC partner to bring 0.35um EEPROM IP to their customers

Translated: Taiwan and the growing worldwide RFID market

Good Morning Huan-Yu Radio: Interview with Dr. Henry Ma, Aplus Shanghai General Manager (coming soon to Aplus' website)

Aplus Flash Technology EXPANDS ITS OPERATIONS IN CHINA AND TAIWAN

Aplus Flash Technology recently expanded its employees and offices in Shanghai in order to accomodate its growing memory sales business and IP business, particularly in the Asian IC design industry. Aplus relocated its Shanghai office to a larger space in the Zhang Jiang Hi-Tech Software Park, and has grown the number of employees worldwide about 10% in the past three months.

With new engineers for IP and production support, Aplus is well equipped to handle its IP business and customized design and wafer sales support to its customers. Aplus is also moving into supplying memory components such as serial memory (EEPROM, OTP, FLASH).

The contact numbers for the Shanghai office will remain the same but the address has been changed to:

Aplus Flash Technology, Inc. - Shanghai, 498 Guoshoujing Road, Rm.10301, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, 201203, P.R.C.

We look forward to hearing from you!

UPCOMING SHUTTLES FOR 0.35um OTP and 0.35um EEPROM
Aplus' 0.35um OTP and 0.35um EEPROM customers will be running products on upcoming MPW shuttles at SMIC in both August and September 2004. Customers will be embedding Aplus' OTP and EEPROM IP in their products for applications such as smart cards, consumer appliances, SIM cards, etc. There are still MPW spaces available - please contact marketing@aplusflash.com for more details.

Product & IP Update

Aplus recently introduced its NVM IP for new applications such as RFID and PLD.

PLD: Aplus' NVM IP is suitable for PLD products requiring embedded non-volatile memory such as OTP or FLASH. PLD applications allow customers flexibility in programming IC chips after during or after manufacture, and the memory is typically used to store the program code. Aplus' NVM IP is suitable for both PLD and FPGA applications.

RFID: Aplus' EEPROM IP has been tuned for RFID applications requiring low-current, low-voltage operation. It was silicon proven in May of 2004 on SMIC's 0.35um EEPROM process. Aplus can also design NVM IP for RFID applications based on varying process technologies. Aplus is currently working with several IC design companies on their RFID ICs for manufacture in 2004 and 2005.

For information about our NVM IP, please contact marketing@aplusflash.com.

EEPROM MEMORY: Aplus would like to announce the availability of our 24C and 93C serial EEPROM for purchase. Please contact our product sales group to receive samples of our serial EEPROM for qualification. These products are used in a multitude of applications from computing modules, security key applications and more. The EEPROM datasheets are available in our products page under NVM Memory Products. Please contact our memory sales department at sales@aplusflash.com.
