Welcome Letter from the President

Dear Friends,
Welcome to the first volume of Aplus NewsFlash, a newsletter designed to keep you informed of the exciting progress of Aplus Flash Technology. In the past year, we've gone through a lot of changes, as we've worked to really incorporate all aspects of non-volatile memory into our business, from ROM, OTP, NTP, EEPROM & Flash underway.

We've partnered up with several foundries to give our customers more flexibility and capacity in their manufacturing options. We've developed memory products that will offer more competitive pricing & performance to current market products. And we've expanded our operations in Shanghai & Taiwan to better serve our customers and partners. And of course, we're still working on our Flash. Aplus is developing a disruptive Flash + EEPROM targeted at next-generation smart card applications.

For our first issue we'd like to draw your attention to the recent publicity Aplus has generated surrounding our NVM IP, our expansion in China and our developing Flash. From our technical articles to spotlights on our company, you can really get a feel for our recent developments. Enjoy this first issue and get a chance to see how Aplus looks as an organization today. We hope it will get you as excited as we are about our future.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best Regards,
Peter Lee
President & CEO

Design Tips:

As an IP provider specializing in non-volatile memory, Aplus

is familiar with helping our customers integrate their CPUs or logic blocks with the NVM in their chips. Read about some general IC design guidelines (more)....
Flash is under development for the end of 2003. Aplus is also developing stand alone memory products for introduction in 2003.
Editor's note: This newsletter is designed to bring you news of Aplus' activities and exciting opportunities - we conceived of the idea as we thought of how to best keep our customers, shareholders, partners and friends updated on Aplus' progress, while also sharing some broader knowledge in the field of NVM. We hope to publish a newsletter every quarter and hope that you'll enjoy reading them as much as we enjoy writing them!
